I should be reading right now for one of my classes, but sometimes homework is for the birds. Actually, homework is imperative, especially in grad school. I just simply don't care to read, right now. I try to do my homework on my lunch break - because who needs to relax, right? Honestly, it's just easier for me to do it that way, so once I'm home I can hit the gym, help the kid with homework and hang out with him. Let's face it, he's my little man, mi amigo, sweet pea, pumpkin, monkey man, chunky monkey, and the 1,000 other nicknames I have for him. He's just cute and I love him, okay? :)
Yesterday was Halloween, so that left no time for a workout. I did my first post-race workout on Tuesday evening. I did the elliptical for 30 minutes, then weights for about 20 minutes. My arms are still pretty sore today, but I'll be back tonight! I love running, but it's so nice to change up the routine. I'm back to being very strict about my food and calorie intake. It all got away from me over the summer, and I just don't feel right and don't look the way that I'm happy with. The unflattering race pictures don't help. Does anyone have good race pics? Oh... incredibly photogenic guy. How did I forget?
I'm SO happy and blessed to be an Independent Consultant with Arbonne. I have amazing nutrition at my fingertips. The protein shakes are great for recovery drinks, but I also like them as meal replacements. These shakes are the absolute best way to focus on a healthy lifestyle while they also provide mounds of nutrition for your body. Today, I had the chocolate shake that I mixed with iced coffee and small amount of almond milk. It's great boost for my body and makes me so happy to do healthy things!
Now, let's return to homework.
