This past weekend was Fall Fest. I don't usually dress up for Halloween. Let's face it, most adult costumes are risque, and I honestly don't want to cart my kid around at a church carnival or our neighborhood looking like a hoochie-mama. Originally (like for the past year - literally), J wanted to be Harry Potter. Last month he mentioned something about Mario; and all of the sudden this weekend, he wanted to be Luigi. As usual, I procrastinated, but we found Luigi at our first stop, Target. I was worried it wouldn't fit and I suspected we'd have a Halloween costume meltdown, but God blessed us - it fit.

Fall Festivities
Each year our church hosts a fall carnival. We've been members of our church for about 3 years, and have gone to Fall Fest each October. It's a fun way for all of the kids to play, eat and get candy. It's also a fun way for the parents to play, eat and get candy. I promise, we go and I don't steal all of his candy.

Obviously, he was excited! They even had a cookie decorating booth. Clearly, he picked every icing color available. :) All in all, we weathered the cold, but we had a great time!
